Anthony Corso
PhD

Dr. Anthony J. Corso achieved his doctoral degree in Information Systems and Technology from Claremont Graduate University in 2015. In 2001, he earned his M.B.A. in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix and a B.A. in Computers, Video, and Imaging Technology from Cogswell Polytechnical College in 1996. In 2009, he fulfilled California's Accounting education requirements, paving the way to become a Certified Public Accountant by making him eligible to undertake the California Board of Accountancy Uniform CPA Exam. Furthermore, Dr. Corso attained the distinction of being an AWS Certified Engineer by successfully passing the Cloud Practitioner Exam in February 2022.

Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Corso has held significant roles at prominent companies such as Apple Computer, Silicon Graphics, and Vitria Technology. His responsibilities have spanned diverse areas including Instructional Design, Technical Training, System Administration, and Entertainment Marketing. Dr. Corso began his academic career at California Baptist University in Fall 2006, starting as an adjunct faculty member in the field of Computer Information Systems. His dedication to education eventually led to his appointment as a full-time tenure-track faculty member, a position he continues to hold.

Dr. Corso's research is centered on the amalgamation of Social Media, Geographic Information Systems, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing to develop predictive information systems. This integration enhances predictive capabilities by incorporating social media into the design, analysis, and evaluation processes. In the pursuit of understanding the complexities of real-world event prediction a deep understanding of GIS, data analysis, and social behavior is essential.
