Suzula Bidon

Suzula Bidon is an attorney (MD, MN, and DC), advocate, policy analyst, and educator specializing in expungements, criminal legal system reform, and substance use-related law and policy. Areas of expertise include MOUD access in carceral settings, harm reduction centers, the impact of CAPTA and state mandatory reporting policies on pregnant people who use substances, contingency management, and barriers to accessing behavioral health care services experienced by veterans. She is also a certified yoga teacher and the creator of Recovery Yoga Meetings®: a yoga curriculum for individuals with behavioral and mental health disorders, which she teaches in treatment centers, yoga studios, and institutions. She completed Georgetown University’s Master of Science in Addiction Policy and Practice Program in June 2023.
