Pamela has 44 years’ experience working in the substance use and mental health services field including in prevention, treatment, medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD), and recovery across the lifespan and across multiple diverse population groups (child welfare, justice, pregnant and parenting women, American Indian and Alaska Natives). Pamela served appointments under two Florida Governors to manage Florida’s publicly funded substance use prevention and treatment system. Pamela has decades of experience in policy and evidence-based practice development, including 7 years as a SAMHSA NREPP evidence-based practice reviewer. For the past 30 years, Pamela worked as a national consultant providing training and TA in 50 states on many topics including grant writing. On a part-time basis over a 6-year period, Pamela has written and succeeded with grant awards totaling more than $100 million. She will share numerous practical tips that she uses to increase the likelihood of successful grant award.
