Adina Badea
PhD, DABCC

Adina Badea, PhD, DABCC, is Director of Toxicology at Lifespan/Rhode Island Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Her work focuses on expanding the capabilities of the clinical toxicology laboratory using high resolution mass spectrometry, with research interests centered on developing, optimizing, and implementing novel diagnostic methodology and investigating emerging matrices to address unmet patient and scientific needs. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with the local Poison Control Centers and is currently collaborating with the Rhode Island Department of Health to provide state-of-the-art testing for complex emergency medicine cases and to address public health crises with real-time comprehensive toxicology testing.
