Stephen Anderson
MD, FACEP

Dr. Stephen Anderson, MD, FACEP, attended University of Michigan for undergrad, medical school, and began residency there, finishing training at University of Washington and joined the Emergency Department staff at Auburn General Hospital in south Seattle in 1986. He practiced there 35 years (as it grew into MultiCare Auburn Medical Center) holding positions including Chairman of Emergency Services, Stroke, Trauma , Education, and Chief-of-Staff. Dr. Anderson devoted himself to making our communities healthier, being named the Physician of the Year in Seattle by the American Heart Association, and the Guardian of Emergency Medicine & Lifetime Achievement awards by the WA Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He served ACEP as WA Chapter President, and on the National Board of Directors (Chair 2018). Dr. Anderson is nationally recognized for work in EM access to care and suicide prevention. He serves as Chair of The Naloxone Project Board of Directors.
