I trained at the University of Cincinnati and received my Ph.D. in Neuropharmacology, and completed postdoctoral research fellowships at Wayne State University and Alkermes, researching (among other things) MDMA and other neurostimulants, traumatic brain injury, and the role of serotonin in behavior. In 2020, I made the transition within Alkermes to Medical Science Liaison, and I am still in that role, based in Nashville. In this position, I provide clinical and medical support to clinicians serving patients managing schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or substance use disorders across Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana. I have found this role to be scientifically engaging as well as professionally fulfilling, providing education and ensuring health care providers are making key decisions armed with the most up-to-date and accurate information that I am able to provide.
