Dana Anderson is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Assistant Professor in the Community, Systems, and Mental Health Nursing Department at Rush University. She has over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and their families in the community mental health and outpatient/private practice settings. She has experience teaching pre-licensure and doctoral nursing students in both didactic and clinical courses. Dana also has experience working as a nurse on an inpatient child/adolescent psychiatric unit. Dana is passionate about increasing access to mental health care and addressing mental health disparities. Dana has doctoral preparation in Transformative Leadership and Population Health. She received both her MSN and DNP degrees from Rush University, and her BA degree from Colgate University.
