I am a neuropharmacologist by training with a passion for helping improve patient care and outcomes. I have over 12 years of experience in research and 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a strong focus on neurological and psychiatric disorders. I am driven by the strong belief that I am successful when I can assist the people I serve and support their successes. I earned a Bachelor's in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Indian Institute of Technology in Banaras Hindu University, India. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky. I pursued postdoctoral research at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, followed by the VA San Diego Healthcare System. My research focused on understanding long-term neurological adaptations linked to chronic exposure to drugs (stimulants, medications, alcohol, etc.) and their long-term influence on brain microstructure, and vulnerability to maladaptive behaviors. As an MSL, I rely on my educational background to appreciate and articulate complex neuropsychiatric concepts to help clinicians consider the best therapeutic options for optimal patient outcomes.
