Callum Hicks

I am a Medical Affairs Professional with 4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. I currently support Alkermes’ Field Medical team as the Medical Science Liaison in New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. I serve as a subject matter expert in several complex and difficult-to-treat diseases including serious mental illness (schizophrenia and bipolar disorder) and substance use disorders (opioid and alcohol use disorders). I am passionate about engaging with healthcare professionals in fair, balanced and evidenced-based discussions to identify unmet needs and exchange scientific insights, with the shared goal of improving outcomes for patients. Prior to industry, I was awarded my PhD in Behavioral Pharmacology from the University of Sydney and spent over 10 years in Australia and the US conducting basic science research that examined novel therapeutic agents for the treatment of drug addiction. Outside of work, I enjoy fitness, travel, music, and trying new foods.
