I obtained an Associate's Degree in Nursing from NW Community College in North Alabama and proceeded to obtain my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of North Alabama. During this time I worked in ICU, Labor and Delivery, as well as Critical Care. I served in various roles throughout the hospital with a desire to give more to my patient's.
I obtained a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Samford University in Alabama. I am board certified as a Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner's. This position allowed me to meet the rising healthcare needs of patient's.
I have over 20 years in clinical practice with the last 11 of those being in Neurology. I served on multiple Advisory Boards as well being a speaker for several pharmaceutical companies. Teaching patient's and family members is key to understanding the importance of compliance with medication's as well as navigating through a disease state.
I have been a Medical Science Liaison for 6 years. The past 4 years with Supernus Pharmaceuticals. This position allows me to stay in touch with clinical practice's as well as providers. Learning from them the challenges faced with their patient's, allows me to provide education, tools, such as data, manuscripts and poster's that will guide their clinical decisions. We are the resource to the provider -we meet before, during or after hours to ensure they have what they need to make the best clinical decisions on behalf of their patient's.
