Katherine Economy, MD is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. She is the Division Chief for Maternal Fetal Medicine at Mass General Brigham and Co-Directs the Program for Heart Disease in Pregnancy at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. As a maternal-fetal medicine subspecialist, Kathy is especially drawn to clinical challenges at the interface of obstetrics and internal medicine, with a focus on cardiovascular disease in pregnancy. Through the development of multidisciplinary clinical programs, educating fellows, and serving in national service roles, she has worked to enhance both individual patient care and broader clinical standards in her field. Kathy is especially passionate about mentoring and teaching the next generation of clinicians. Outside of work, Kathy enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
