Mike Watts

Born and raised in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. I have completed all of my educational and medical training in Chicago. I am a proud father of two young children. Currently I am dedicated to my podiatric practice and serve as the Associate Chief Medical Officer of our nationwide practice.

Michael Siah, M.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is a board-certified vascular surgeon and has been practicing at UT Southwestern since 2019.

Dr. Siah earned his medical degree at the University of Hawaii’s John A. Burns School of Medicine and completed a residency in vascular surgery at Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center. He has delivered a number of presentations and published several academic articles and book chapters.

Additionally, he is Director of the Limb Salvage Program in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at UT Southwestern. His primary clinical focus is on therapies for peripheral vascular disease, diabetic limb salvage, complex deep venous disease, and carotid disease.

Dr. Mike Watts attended the University of Buffalo for his medical training, earning his MD in 2006, completed surgical internship and radiology residency at the Cleveland Clinic in 2011 and his fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in 2012. He was the fellowship director for interventional radiology at the University of Pennsylvania and the director of interventional radiology at the Philadelphia VA until 2016. Since then he has been committed to limb preservation, treating CLI on a full-time basis in an outpatient setting. He currently practices at the Vascular Institute of Atlantic Medical Imaging.

Yolanda Bryce, MD, RPVI completed her Medical School training at Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2009, followed by a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2014, a subspecialty training in Breast Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in 2015, and a Fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute in 2016. She joined the faculty at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in August 2016 where she pioneers minimally invasive cryoablation technique to treat locoregional disease in patients that are poor surgical candidates or refuse surgery and works in a multidisciplinary team to expand treatment options for patients with metastatic breast cancer through interventional oncology. She also specializes in vascular disease in oncologic patients, boarded through the American Board of Vascular Medicine and holding a Registered Physician Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) certification. In 2018, she became the founding director of MSKCC’s Noninvasive Vascular Imaging Center and started the institution’s PAD program improving mobility and quality of life of some of the most vulnerable patients – those with both cancer and life-limiting PAD. Her PAD screening trial examines the prevalence and disparities of PAD in at-risk cancer patients.

Dr. Pradeep K. Nair, an interventional cardiologist, is Vice-Chairman of New Cardiovascular Horizons Conference in New Orleans, LA. He joined the Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) in 2015. A native of Somerset Pennsylvania, he graduated with University Honors from Carnegie Mellon University and earned his medical doctorate at Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian Campus where he was recognized with several awards of distinction for his cardiovascular research. He went on to complete a year of an advanced endovascular interventional fellowship under the mentorship of Craig Walker at the CIS in Houma, LA.

Dr. Nair is licensed by the State Board of Medicine in Pennsylvania and Louisiana. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He currently practices in Houma, Gray and Zachary, Louisiana where he specializes in peripheral arterial/venous disease and interventions. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He serves Horizon's International Peripheral Group, Board of OEIS, ACC Vascular Disease Section Leadership Council, and CLI Global Society Publication Committee. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and presented and performed Live Endovascular Cases at several cardiovascular meetings. Having a keen clinical research interest of novel interventional devices and therapies, he is dedicated to supporting the advancement of our field.

Constantino S. Peña, M.D., serves as the Section Head of interventional radiology. He is the medical director of vascular imaging at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.
Dr. Peña earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stanford University, and his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and a vascular and interventional fellowship in Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Peña is a clinical associate professor of radiology at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He has presented in numerous national and international meetings as well as participated in multiple clinical trials.
He has served for many professional organizations. He serves as the chair for the Cardiovascular Radiology & Intervention Council of the American Heart Association. He presently serves on the executive council of the Society of Interventional Radiology and was a past Annual Meeting Chair. He has served on several committee on the American Board of radiology and is a Board examiner. He also served on the Radiology Info Committee of the American College of Radiology and Radiological Society of North America and the Society of Interventional Radiology Oncology Service Line.
Dr. Peña is a fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology, American Heart Association and the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (CT). He is also a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology, Society of Cardiovascular CT, Iberoamerican Society of Interventional Radiology and the North American Society for Cardiac Imaging.

Fadi A. Saab, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist specializing in endovascular revascularization of peripheral vascular disease, with a particular interest in critical limb ischemia (CLI). He also specializes in treating venous insufficiency and cardiac issues, including high blood pressure and carotid artery disease. Dr. Saab earned his medical degree from the Damascus University School of Medicine, Syria, and completed an internal medicine residency at Detroit Medical Center-Sinai Grace Hospital, affiliated with Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. He then completed a cardiology outcome research fellowship at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; a noninvasive cardiology fellowship at St. John Hospital & Medical Center, Detroit, MI; and fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology at Baystate Medical Center, affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine, Springfield, MA. Dr. Saab is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiac Angiography & Interventions, and the American Society of Echocardiography.. Saab is currently Medical Director of Endovascular Therapy and Director of Cardiovascular Research at Michigan Outpatient Vascular Institute in Dearborn, MI. Dr. Saab actively participates in clinical research and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications. He is an active member of the CLI Global Society and chairs the Society's Publication Committee.

Dr. Winscott is Professor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, with a dual appointment in the divisions of interventional cardiology and vascular surgery. He serves as the director of the adult cardiac catheterization laboratory and is the program director for both the interventional cardiology and the endovascular portion of the vascular surgery fellowship programs. He specializes in critical limb ischemia, limb salvage, CTO, alternative access, directional atherectomy, and anti-restenotic therapy. He serves as the vascular director for 5 wound care centers throughout the state of Mississippi.

Dr. John A. Phillips, MD is a cardiology and peripheral vascular interventionalist in Columbus, Ohio. He is affiliated with OhioHealth, Riverside Methodist Hospital and has been in practice there for 15 years. Dr. Phillips is the medical director for endovascular medicine and the clinical operations council chief for the heart and vascular service line at Riverside Methodist.

Dr. Elizabeth Genovese is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and is the Director of the Penn Advanced Limb Preservation Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Genovese graduated from the University of Notre Dame, attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh and completed her Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Genovese specializes in advanced open and complex endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial disease, particularly chronic limb threatening ischemia. She currently serves as the Chair of the SUPRA INGUINAL and INFRA INGUINAL BYPASS VQI modules, and continues to participated in multiple local, regional and national societal committees. Her research focuses on healthcare disparities in peripheral arterial disease detection, treatment and outcomes, along with integration of new technology to streamline treatment algorithms and improve outcomes with complex endovascular therapies for peripheral arterial disease.

Dr. Madassery is an Associate Professor of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (VIR) at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago and Rush Oak Park Hospital. He is the Director of The Advanced VIR Fellowship, the Director of Peripheral Vascular Interventions & CLTI Limb Preservation Program and the IVC Filter Clinic at Rush. Recently, is now Medical Director of VIR at Rush Oak Park Hospital.

He received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School, and both Radiology Residency and VIR Fellowship at Rush. Recently inducted as Fellow of the Society of interventional Radiology (FSIR) & the International Andreas Gruentzig Society (IAGS).

He has authored and co-authored numerous articles, and plethora of grand rounds & educational presentations nationally/globally. He is deeply involved with SIR, serving on Standards and Practices, current Chair of the SIR PAD Specialty Council, on the SIR Annual Meeting Committee and other roles. He reviewes for Journals such as JVIR, JSV-CIT, Journal of CLI, Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine & a Board member of the Alliance for Wound Care Stakeholders, in Washington, D.C.

Much of his practice is dedicated to Critical Limb Ischemia Revascularization and Limb Preservation. Recently, he published a multidisciplinary Comprehensive Limb Preservation Guidebook, entitled Limb Preservation for the Vascular Specialist, with over 60 co-authors. Other interests include Complex IVC Filter Retrievals, Dialysis Interventions, Venous Reconstructions, and Interventional Oncology. He founded and Directs the Peripheral Vascular Trainees Lab (PVTL), which had its Inagural meeting in 2024. Most importantly, he is joyously married, and father to two amazing children.

Dr. Yana Etkin is board certified vascular surgeon and a Professor of Surgery at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/ Northwell. She serves as the Associate Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery and a Program Director for the Vascular Surgery Fellowship and Residency programs.

Dr. Etkin received her medical degree from the Downstate Medical Center. She completed a residency in General Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center and a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Etkin is a passionate educator who mentored and trained numerous medical students, residents, and fellows. She is an active member of numerous committees in local, regional and national societies with current and past leadership roles. In 2023, she has been elected as one of the directors for the Vascular Surgery Board of the American Board of Surgery.

She maintains busy clinical practice with special expertise in aortic surgery, venous pathology, critical limb ischemia, and dialysis access. Dr. Etkin also runs an active clinical research program focused on novel vascular surgical techniques and patient outcomes. She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters. She is an Associate Editor for Annals of Vascular Surgery Brief Reports and Innovations journal and is on the editorial board of several other medical journals. She has been an invited speaker and has led workshops/courses at more than 70 regional, national and international programs.

Dr Kum received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2000 and
subsequently embarked on his surgical training with the Royal College of Surgeons,
obtaining his Master of Medicine and Fellowship in 2007.
In 2009, he completed his Postgraduate Fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at
the Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney as well as at the Department of Angiology, Heart
Centre Leipzig. In 2012, he completed a second Fellowship on Advanced Techniques in
Diabetic Limb Salvage and Wound Care Techniques in Milan.
Since 2015, Dr Kum has been the Director of Vascular Surgery at Department of Surgery,
Changi General Hospital Singapore and he was subsequently appointed as a Visiting
Consultant in 2019. He currently maintains his practice at Mount Elizabeth Novena
Hospital, Singapore and is currently the CMO of M & L Healthcare. Dr Kum is the past President of the
Society for Vascular and Endovascular Surgeons of Singapore (SVESS) and is part of the organizing committee of
Critical Issues in Endovascular Therapy, a regional meeting organized by the society.
Dr Kum has a keen interest in clinical research revolving around Diabetic Limb Salvage. He is
one of the pioneers in Percutaneous Deep Arterialization for no-option Critical Limb
Ischemia for which he has authored or co-authored numerous papers. He is the PI or co-PI
for several industry or physician led studies. He is also a keen innovator who is currently
working on several disruptive technologies.

Dr Lobato has been a Vascular and endovascular Surgery Consultant in Hospital Universitario de Cruces (Bilbao-Spain) since 2010. Her Department is considered a first line Unit in the Endovascular management of CLTI ( particularly in the BTK-BTA segments). She developed her Vascular Fellowship Programme in Hospital Universitario Doce de Octubre (Madrid) and thereafter completed her training with short stages in Hospital du Nord St Etienne (France), Universitäs Spital Zurich. (Switzerland), St Franziskus Hospital Münster.(Germany)
For the last ten years her activity has been mainly focused in the endovascular treatment of the lower limb,routinely performing complex CTO revascularizations, including any sort of bidirectional access, transcollateral approaches, plantar loop or venous arterialization. She is also a reviewer of the Critical Limb ischaemia Journal, Journal of Endovascular Therapy, Annals of Vascular Surgery, Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery and VASA European Jornal of Vascular Medicine. Her Unit has presented multiple communications in well recognized international symposiums and has published many papers in first line journals of her speciality

Dr. Khanjan “KJ” Nagarsheth is a vascular surgeon, Professor of Surgery, and Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery at St. Louis University School of Medicine, where he also serves as System Director of Vascular Surgery for SSM Health in the St. Louis region. He is board certified in Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Nagarsheth completed his general surgery training at the University of Tennessee, fellowships in Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and University of Maryland, and vascular surgery fellowship training at Staten Island University Hospital/Northwell. He also earned an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Nagarsheth has developed nationally recognized programs in limb preservation, venous disease, vascular compression syndromes, pulmonary embolism care, and outpatient vascular interventions. His clinical and research interests focus on peripheral arterial disease, advanced venous disease, wound healing, thrombosis, and limb salvage innovation. He has authored more than 110 peer reviewed publications, multiple textbook chapters, and serves in numerous national leadership and editorial roles, including Associate Editor and Social Media Editor for the Journal of Vascular Surgery Cases and Innovative Techniques. He is an active mentor to medical students, residents, and fellows and is committed to advancing multidisciplinary vascular care, surgical education, and healthcare innovation.

Richard F. Neville, MD, FACS, DFSVS is currently Associate Director of INOVA Schar Heart and Vascular, Schar Chair of Vascular Surgery, and Chief of Wound care and Hyperbaric Medicine. Dr. Neville also has an academic appointment as Professor of Medical Education at the University of Virginia, and, Clinical Professor of Surgery at George Washington University where he previously held the position Ludwig Chief of the Division of Vascular Surgery. He also served as Chief of Vascular Surgery at Georgetown University for many years. Dr. Neville completed medical school at the University of Maryland and then general surgery residency at Georgetown University before moving on to a fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in endovascular device development. Dr. Neville then completed a vascular surgery fellowship under the direction of Dr. Robert Hobson. Dr. Neville is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of many other societies including the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Neville is a national and international lecturer having published of over 200 manuscripts, 250 abstracts, 35 book chapters, and 350 invited lectures while remaining actively involved in research and the education of students, residents, fellows, and other physicians. He has consistently been named to the Best Doctors in America, Washingtonian Top Docs, and Who’s Who in the World. His clinical interests include lower extremity revascularization; wound healing, amputation prevention, as well as hemodialysis access.

Jill Sommerset, RVT, FSVU, is a vascular technologist with 25 years of experience in advanced vascular ultrasound and limb preservation. Currently, she is the director of ultrasound at Advanced Vascular Centers and HOPE Vascular & Podiatry. She is also the director of Clinical Education and Training at Aveera Medical. She is known for developing Pedal Acceleration Time (PAT). Jill is also an international speaker recognized for her contributions to vascular ultrasound and improving patient outcomes.
