Dr Konstantinos Katsanos finished his graduate studies in the School of Medicine, University of Patras, Greece in 2001, and continued his post-graduate studies and received an MSc degree in Pharmacology and Pharmacokinetics in 2006 and then a PhD thesis in 2009 in the field of therapeutic angiogenesis and arteriogenesis. He completed a subspecialty fellowship in Interventional Radiology in Guy's and St.Thomas' Hospitals, London, UK in 2008 and was among the first who sat for and received the European Boards in Interventional Radiology (EBIR) in late 2010 by the Cardiovascular and Interventional radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE). His current academic interests are focused on endovascular therapies of lower limb ischemia and failing dialysis access, as well as on interventional spine and vascular oncologic embolization procedures. He has already demonstrated a record of successful and productive basic and applied research. He has authored or co-authored more than 250 original papers in international peer-reviewed journals. In addition, he has presented numerous oral free papers and scientific presentations and has delivered numerous invited lectures in international conferences and symposia. He has been included in World’s Top 2% Scientists’ List by Stanford University.
