One Process, Every Community: How Growing Operators Standardize Revenue Without Heading Headcount

Most senior living groups don't set out to run five different billing processes, it happens as they grow. A community comes online with the system it already had, a workaround gets baked in to cover a gap, and a few acquisitions later the back office is reconciling by hand and hoping the numbers hold at month-end. This session examines how operators are solving that problem: not by adding headcount, but by standardizing revenue operations across their portfolios. Drawing on real-world operator experience, the discussion gets into the hard parts too: the workflows that resist change, and what the back office looks like now that billing and claims run the same way across the portfolio. There is no long presentation. After a few minutes of framing from the panel, the room opens up. We want to hear where revenue operations are straining for the operators in attendance and compare notes on what has and hasn't worked. The goal is for people to leave with a couple of ideas they can use on Monday.

Andy Eby is a caregiver for Bickford Senior Living, which owns and operates over 60 senior living communities across the country. Bickford built their first branch nearly 30 years ago for Andy’s grandmother, Mary Bickford. She suffered with Alzheimer’s and the Eby family could not find a place they felt comfortable with, so they built what she needed. Andy runs the day-to-day operations and works to be that caregiver who does whatever it takes to make their residents happy, just as they did for Mary. Andy is a Co-Founder of Serviam Care Network whose purpose is to transform how seniors are cared for in America. He is committed to long-term personal development and has completed 5 years of advanced training at the Stagen Leadership Academy. Andy received his bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and played offensive line for the Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Rams.
