Jonathan Billingham

Jonathan is a licensed professional counselor and mental health service provider (LPC-MHSP) whose personal mission is to be an agent of change, wholeness, and healing within the communities he serves. He earned his Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2005 and has spent nearly two decades in the behavioral health industry advancing clinical excellence, system-level quality, and patient-centered care.

As the Director of Clinical Quality & Compliance for JourneyPure, Jonathan has spent the past nine years helping shape and sustain high-reliability treatment standards across multiple levels of care. His leadership includes elevating documentation and utilization management practices, strengthening partnerships with managed care organizations, supporting accreditation readiness for CARF and The Joint Commission, and aligning clinical operations with evolving regulatory and compliance expectations.

Prior to joining JourneyPure in 2017, Jonathan served seven years with Optum Health supporting Tennessee’s Medicaid population. There, he collaborated closely with providers and the Bureau of TennCare to drive statewide improvements in utilization management and quality outcomes.

Jonathan brings a mission-driven, systems-thinking approach to behavioral healthcare and is interested about how emerging technologies—including AI—can strengthen access, efficiency, and clinical quality across the continuum of care.
