Partners in Crime... and in Health

Partners in Crime takes a closer look at the social determinants of health and applies it to other issues that plague some communities. It will uncover the fact that these determinants influence much more than we realize. • How one was raised • Who their influencers are • Access to safe housing (just to name a few) Healthcare providers now know that correcting the unmet social needs of our patients will improve the quality and quantity of life for the individual. This presentation will show that by addressing these factors, community paramedic programs can directly impact systemic issues such as violence and other crime statistics as well. Proving that healthy neighbors make healthy neighborhoods and healthy neighborhoods make healthy communities.
