Competition Details
This award is intended to support research of first- and second-year clinical fellows currently training in an ACGME electrophysiology fellowship program in the United States. Applicants will submit a scientific abstract/poster based on their research to Western AFib. A committee of faculty judges selected by the Western AFib Symposium leadership will review each submission and invite the top 5 fellows to attend the 2025 Western AFib Symposium to present their research live.
The Top 5 fellows will receive coverage of room and tax for 3 nights in a meeting hotel, complimentary registration to attend the meeting, and the opportunity to present their research to judges in a competition for prizes to be announced.
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a first- or second-year clinical fellow in an ACGME electrophysiology fellowship program in the United States
- The poster must be based on the applicant’s research in the field of atrial fibrillation
- One poster may be submitted per applicant
- Submission Deadline will be January 6, 2025.
Terms of Acceptance
- Provide a completed W9 form by February 5, 2025
- Register for the meeting by February 5, 2025
- Attend the full conference including all mandatory scholarship related sessions/events designated throughout the agenda
