Maintaining state regulation of assisted living is job one for Argentum and its state association partners. Some members of the U.S. Senate are expressing support for the federal government establishing some form of regulatory oversite of assisted living. In response, it is now more important than ever that states demonstrate the efficacy of state regulations. It is also critically important that states and the industry as a whole demonstrate how a “one-size-fits-all” federal regulatory model will not work and would threaten the very success that has enabled millions of seniors the ability to receive the care they need in less restrictive home-like settings. Argentum State Partner leaders will discuss their collaboration with Argentum in addressing Congress's concerns, and how they are mobilizing to educate federal lawmakers, state legislators, and regulators on the importance of having a strong state regulatory framework. Attendees will also hear from various state leaders on recent legislative and regulatory initiatives and challenges to better understand how Argentum values effective state advocacy and regulations equally with its federal initiatives.
