Physical security is an integral component to community safety. Further, culture of safety is essential to the security of our communities, safety of residents and employees, families and friends. Community security walk thrus, vulnerability risk assessments and the development of a security manuals are critical components to managing physical security and safety in our community settings.
This session will address the need for organizational security manual standardization where possible and customization where appropriate by following the “4 D’s of Security”. This moderated discussion by a clinical risk consultant with an industry security expert and a corporate senior living resident services and security director will explore the importance of an organizationally standardized yet community individualized security manual through the conceptual lens of: deterrence, detection, delay and defense.
