This session will examine different “ruses” in recruitment and retention and describe why they do not generally work. Presented will be methods that can change the recruitment and retention efforts of an employer so that more applicants are interested in becoming employees and how we can retain them for the long term. The motivation of applicants will be discussed, and methods to leverage what an employer has to offer will be examined. Practical methods to improve facility procedures that can be put to work immediately will be presented.
