Wildfires, hurricanes, floods, pandemics, power outages, and other emergency events can significantly impact senior living communities, residents, families, and staff. While immediate response is critical, leaders must also be prepared for the operational challenges that follow an emergency.

This session provides an overview of key considerations to help senior living leaders assess community risk, strengthen emergency preparedness, and prioritize response planning. Through an operational lens, attendees will explore recommendations that support continuity of care, communication, staffing, and recovery efforts before, during, and after an emergency event.

While geared primarily toward assisted living communities, this session will also be relevant for leaders in independent living and memory care, as well as clinicians and operations professionals responsible for emergency planning and response.
