90 min
Wednesday, April 30, 2025
5:15 PM - 6:45 PM
Sponsored by Smith+Nephew.

Objectives:
-Debate the importance of managing the underlying conditions for DFU and VLU
-Analyze the benefits of CAMPs in improving wound healing
-Review DFU /VLU case studies
-Discuss the need for a multidisciplinary plan of care

Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) and venous leg ulcers (VLUs) represent significant clinical challenges, with multifactorial etiologies requiring a targeted and comprehensive approach to therapy. Both conditions are associated with severe morbidity, including a high rate of amputations, and greatly reduce patients' quality of life. Despite numerous treatments, both systemic and local, the need for innovative therapies remains critical. This 90-minute innovation dinner program will focus on the evolving role of cellular, acellular and matrix-like products (CAMPs) in the treatment of DFUs and VLUs. Through a review of the latest published evidence, the effectiveness of CAMPs will be debated, exploring their potential as a therapeutic option in wound care.
