Innovation Theater Breakfast (non-CME): Beyond Basic Debridement: Elevate Your Options With A New Dressing Technology

Sponsored by Urgo Medical North America.

Current published consensus guidelines from IWII, WRR, and NPIAP tell us that debridement is vital to the healing processes because “microbial colonies begin to reform 24 hours after debridement” and the presence of “slough or necrotic tissue can promote bacterial growth…[and] prevent the formation of granulation tissue…” and furthermore, it is proven that “more frequent debridement was associated with improved healing.” However, current debridement options such as: sharp-, autolytic-, mechanical-, or ointment-based debridement options have their limits. Join this panel as they introduce the first and only dressing that supports the continuous debridement of slough, UrgoClean Ag. They will expand on UrgoClean Ag’s effectiveness to continuously clean the wound bed by leveraging the dressing’s unique and proprietary charged fibers throughout the wear time. Backed by an RCT and the largest observational study ever conducted for a silver dressing, UrgoClean Ag is officially making its debut in North America.
