Intended Learners

This activity is intended for psychiatric and primary care PAs and other healthcare professionals who seek to improve the care of patients with mental health disorders.

Learning Objectives

  • Explore key principles of psychopharmacology of medication classes utilized in the management of psychiatric disorders, including antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and stimulants
  • Apply evidence-based approaches to enhance patient outcomes in treating psychiatric conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, and schizophrenia
  • Develop and execute effective treatment plans aimed at optimizing care delivery, reducing symptoms, and preventing relapse
  • Integrate clinical research and innovative tools to improve patient outcomes in the acute and long-term management of mental health disorders

Physician Assistants/Associates

HMP Education has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with the AAPA CME Criteria. This live activity is designated for AAPA Category 1 Credits. PAs should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

Nurse Practitioners

Nurse practitioners can often claim AAPA Category 1 CME credit as continuing education with AANPCB and ANCC. Check with your certification/licensing authority to confirm that AAPA credit is acceptable.

Requirements for Credit

To be eligible for documentation of credit for each session attended, learners must participate in the activity and complete the session and overall conference evaluations, as well as post-test(s), if applicable. Participants who complete the evaluation online within 30 days of the conference will receive documentation of credit. Your certificate may not load if you are accessing it from a smartphone or if your browser settings do not allow a new tab/window to open.

To claim credit, log in to Learning Central, using your AAPA username and password, and locate Psych Congress: PA Institute 2026 on your dashboard. If you don’t know your user credentials or are unable to log in, please contact cmetech@aapa.org.
