General Session
Systemic Therapy Plus Local Ablation
20 min
Sunday, September 27, 2026
10:25 AM - 10:45 AM
Faculty will examine whether systemic therapy alone is sufficient for control of oligo-remnant lung cancer, or if the addition of local ablation improves progression-free survival and long-term outcomes. The discussion will review patient selection, timing of intervention, and available local treatment modalities. Speakers will discuss their experience with integrating systemic and local approaches in contemporary lung cancer care.
Explore the use of systemic therapy combined with local ablative approaches in the management of oligo-remnant metastatic lung cancer by reviewing clinical evidence supporting the addition of local treatments, such as stereotactic body radiation therapy or surgical ablation, to improve disease control. Discussion will address integration with ongoing systemic therapy, and cover multimodal strategies for enhancing long-term outcomes in these patients.
