1:50 PM - 2:05 PM
Anti-obesity medications and weight-loss procedures can produce gastrointestinal effects that influence adherence, nutrition, quality of life, and downstream dermatologic concerns. This session reviews common tolerability issues, including nausea, vomiting, constipation, reflux, diarrhea, malabsorption, nutritional deficiencies, and post-procedural complications. The discussion will help dermatology clinicians better understand the GI context behind skin, hair, and wound-related changes seen during weight-loss treatment.
