Dr. Christie Bialowas is an Associate Professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Albany Medical Center. She is board certified in both General and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with a wholly reconstructive practice. She performs complex microsurgical reconstruction for oncologic, traumatic, and other surgical deficits with a particular interest in Ortho-plastics and nerve repair. She performs complex pressure injury reconstruction and has done so for over ten years and attempts to treat the most complex of patients. She has published in numerous journals including PRS and holds numerous leadership positions in local and national committees including the Co-Chair of our institution’s Skin Quality Improvement Team working to improve on in hospital pressure injury outcomes and prevention.
