Sean Hammond

Dr. Sean Hammond is a Senior Medical Science Liaison at Axsome Therapeutics based in Fort Collins, CO. He is a neuroscientist by training and his academic research focused on glial cell-mediated mechanisms of neurodegeneration. He earned a B.S. in Biology from SUNY Albany and a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Colorado State University as an NIH-NINDS predoctoral fellow, followed by postdoctoral training at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Transitioning to the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Hammond developed a passion for medical education in clinical psychiatry. He has supported MSL teams across therapeutic areas including MDD, ADHD, sleep disorders, and is currently supporting Alzheimer’s disease agitation at Axsome.
