Sheila Hautbois, PA-C, MSPAS, MPH, CHES®, DipACLM, FACLM is an Assistant Professor at the Shenandoah University PA Program in Leesburg, VA. As a clinician, she has integrated Lifestyle Medicine into several outpatient practices, using a patient-centered approach focused on prevention and disease reversal through the six pillars of lifestyle medicine—all of which support optimal mental health. Sheila has led small group shared medical appointments and regularly provides individualized lifestyle consultations, helping patients make sustainable behavior changes that impact both physical and emotional well-being.
She has served as a clinical preceptor for NP and PA students and medical residents interested in Lifestyle Medicine. Sheila is the current chair of the Lifestyle Medicine PAs Special Interest Group (SIG) within AAPA and has served on the Virginia Academy of PAs (VAPA) reimbursements committee since 2018. From 2019–2025, she led the PA Member Interest Group within the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), where she also earned the honor of Fellow status. Sheila co-authored two chapters in Health Promotion & Disease Prevention for Advanced Practice: Integrating Evidence-Based Lifestyle Concepts (2023) and serves as the PA spokesperson for Park RX America. She is a frequent speaker at state and national conferences.
