Emma Guttman-Yassky, MD, PhD, is the Waldman Professor of Dermatology and Immunology and health system chair at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. She directs the Center for Excellence in Eczema and the Laboratory for Inflammatory Skin Diseases. Dr. Guttman earned her M.D. from Sackler School of Medicine and her Ph.D. from Bar-Ilan University. After a dermatology residency and board certification in Israel, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Rockefeller University and a second residency at Weill-Cornell. Her research focuses on atopic dermatitis, alopecia, and novel therapeutics. She co-founded the International Eczema Council and has received numerous awards for her work.
