Harville Hendrix, Ph.D., and Helen LaKelly Hunt, Ph.D., are co-creators of Imago Relationship Therapy, a couples' therapy, and a social movement called Safe Conversations. Jack Kornfield, PhD, trained as a Buddhist monk in the monasteries of Thailand, India and Burma. He has taught meditation internationally since 1974 and is one of the key teachers to introduce Buddhist mindfulness practice to the West. He co-founded the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts, and the Spirit Rock Center in Woodacre, California. Jack holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and has taught on Eastern and Western psychology in centers and universities worldwide. He is a grandfather, a husband and an activist. His 16 books have been translated into 22 languages and sold more than 1.5 million copies. STEPHEN GILLIGAN, Ph.D., is a psychologist in Encinitas, CA. He was one of the original NLP students at UC Santa Cruz, where Milton Erickson and Gregory Bateson were his mentors. After receiving his psychology doctorate from Stanford University, he became one of the premier teachers and practitioners of Ericksonian hypnotherapy. This work evolved into his original approaches of Self-Relations and Generative Self and was further developed with Robert Dilts into Generative Coaching. In response to the unprecedented meta-crisis we are currently facing, all this work is now woven into a Creative Mind meta-structure that honors and seeks to realize the interconnection of all life—friends and enemies, nature and humans, spirit and matter.

Miller, Ph.D., is the Director of the International Center for Clinical Excellence -- an international consortium of clinicians, researchers, and educators dedicated to promoting excellence in behavioral health services. Dr. Miller is the author of scores of research articles and 15 books, including the most recent Better Results: Using Deliberate Practice to Improve Therapeutic Effectiveness (APA, 2020) and The Field Guide to Better Results: Evidence-based Exercises to Improve Therapeutic Effectiveness (APA, 2023). He conducts workshops and training in the United States and abroad, helping hundreds of agencies and organizations, both public and private, to achieve superior results. Dr. Patricia Arredondo is President of the Arredondo Advisory Group specializing in diversity management strategy and executive coaching primarily in with women and men of color. A licensed psychologist, she is former president of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Chicago. Patricia is author of more than 100 publications and widely recognized for her contributions as a servant leader. Her scholarship addresses Latinx and immigrant mental health, women’s leadership and multicultural competencies for psychological research, training, and practice. Her more recent books are Latinx Immigrants (2018) and Women and the Challenge of STEM Professions: Thriving in a Chilly Climate (2021). Patricia regularly presents to State psychological associations and other organizations on culture-centered psychotherapy and the complexity of counseling with multi-generational Latinx families in the U.S. Patricia is a Fellow of APA divisions 17, 35, and 45, and of the American Counseling Association. She is also the first Latina president of ACA. Patricia is a Faculty Fellow with Fielding Graduate University a serves on its Marie Fielder Center for Social Justice. Other board service is with Gay Sons & Mothers. Latina Researchers, and the National Latinx Psychological Association; she is the founding president. Of Mexican-American heritage and from Lorain, Ohio, she also speaks and writes about the cultural borderlands women of color have to navigate. Her doctora degree in Counseling Psychology is from Boston University. Patricia resides in Phoenix and Mexico City.

Steven C. Hayes is a Nevada Foundation Professor of Psychology Emeritus at the University of Nevada and President of the Institute for Better Health, a 45-year-old charitable organization that promotes quality in mental and behavioral health services. Derald Wing Sue, PhD in Counseling Psychology, is Professor of Psychology and Education in the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. He was the co-founder of the National Multicultural Conference and Summit, co-founder and first President of the Asian American Psychological Association, past presidents of the Society for the Psychological Study of Culture, Ethnicity and Race, and the Society of Counseling Psychology. Derald serves on the Council of Elders for Cultural Diversity and Ethnic Minority Psychology. Derald is a pioneer in the field of multicultural psychology, microaggression theory, microinterventions, racial dialogues, multicultural counseling and therapy, and the psychology of racism/ antiracism. Robert Dilts holds a degree in Behavioral Technology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He has a global reputation as a developer, author, coach, trainer, and consultant in the fields of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Success Factor Modeling (SFM) and is the co-founder of NLP University in Santa Cruz, California. He is also the co-founder (with Dr. Stephen Gilligan) of the International Association for Generative Change (IAGC).

Robert worked closely with NLP co-founders John Grinder and Richard Bandler at the time of its creation and also studied personally with Milton H. Erickson, M.D., and Gregory Bateson. He pioneered the applications of NLP to education, creativity, health, leadership, belief systems, and the development of what has become known as “Third Generation NLP.”

Nancy McWilliams is Visiting Professor Emerita at Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Applied & Professional Psychology and has a private practice in Lambertville, NJ. She is the author of Psychoanalytic Diagnosis (1994; rev. ed. 2011), Psychoanalytic Case Formulation (1999), Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (2004), and Psychoanalytic Supervision (2021), all with Guilford Press. She has edited, co-authored, or contributed to several other books, and is Associate Editor of the Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual (2006; 2nd ed. 2017). A former president of APA’s Division of Psychoanalysis, she is on the editorial board of Psychoanalytic Psychology.
Awards include Gradiva Prizes for best clinical book (1999 and 2022), ABAP Annual Book Prize (2021), Erikson Scholar position (2016), Goethe Scholarship Award (2012), Rosalee Weiss Award for contributions to practice (2004), Laughlin Distinguished Teacher Award (2007), Hans Strupp Award for teaching, practice, and writing (2014), and Division 39 awards for Leadership (2005), Scholarship (2012), and International Academic Excellence (2021). She has appeared in three APA videos of master therapists and was a plenary speaker for the 2015 APA convention.
A graduate of the National Psychological Association for Psychoanalysis, Dr. McWilliams is also affiliated with the Center for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis of New Jersey and is a Trustee of the Austen Riggs Center. She is an honorary member of the American Psychoanalytic Association, Moscow Psychoanalytic Society, Institute for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of Turin, Italy, and Warsaw Scientific Association for Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Her writings are available in 20 languages, and she has taught in 30 countries.

William R. Miller, PhD (Clinical Psychology) is Emeritus Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of New Mexico, where he served as Director of Clinical Training. He has published over 450 professional articles and chapters and 70 books including Effective Psychotherapists: Clinical Skills that Improve Client Outcomes (2021), Motivational Interviewing (4th edition, 2023), Eight Ways to Hope: Charting a Path through Uncertain Times (2024), Rethinking Drinking: Making the RIght Choice for You (2026), and The Person-centered Path: From Individual Growth to Collective Change (2027). The Institute for Scientific Information has listed him among the world’s most cited scientists.
