Jen Norton is the former Senior Vice President of U.S. Patient and Market Access (PAMA) at Takeda Pharmaceuticals. Ms. Norton joined Takeda in October 2023 and was responsible for the company’s market access, pricing, distribution, reimbursement, and patient support organization for Takeda’s non-Oncology portfolio within the United States and serves as a member of Takeda Pharmaceuticals U.S.A. Inc. Executive Team. Ms. Norton is a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the University of Southern California Schaeffer Center for Health Policy & Economics, Chair of the Board of Directors of the National Pharmaceutical Council and a Board Member of Food for Free.
Ms. Norton has focused the last two decades of her career on the pharmaceutical market access landscape. Prior to Takeda, she served as Vice President and Head of US Value and Access at Amgen, where she led all market access and patient support responsibilities for Amgen’s portfolio within the United States. In addition to leading negotiations with public and private payers for prescription drug coverage, she has worked with stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem to better understand the current barriers to drug access and affordability for patients.
Prior to Amgen, Ms. Norton served in roles of increasing responsibility at Biogen, Vertex, and Revitas/Model N. The breadth of her work includes innovative specialty therapeutic areas, biosimilars, oncology, and orphan/rare diseases. She has navigated the evolution of the Affordable Care Act as a consultant and strategist as well as within biopharmaceutical companies, and more recently assessed the potential impact of the Inflation Reduction Act on innovation. She is committed to finding sustainable solutions to our complex and fragmented healthcare.
