Ashish Patel is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London, UK, and a Clinical Senior Lecturer in the School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine & Sciences at King’s College London. His clinical practice focuses on the open and endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial disease, with a particular interest in managing patients with chronic limb-threatening ischaemia (CLTI). Mr Patel leads a translational research programme dedicated to the bench-to-bedside development of advanced cardiovascular therapies, including cell- and device-based innovations. His pre-clinical research is funded by the British Heart Foundation and and he collaborates widely across academic, clinical, and industry sectors. Mr Patel has received multiple national and international awards, including the prestigious British Journal of Surgery Prize at the Vascular Society for Great Britain & Ireland Annual Meeting (2015), and the Global Star and Rising Star Award at the Charing Cross International Symposium (2018).
