Nina Saxena

Dr. Nina Saxena is an Associate Professor in the department of Gastroenterology at the University of Washington, where she specializes in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). She completed medical school at Columbia University, before moving to Seattle to complete her residency and fellowship at the University of Washington.

After completing fellowship, she then joined Kaiser Permanente of Washington, where she helped develop a comprehensive IBD program and served as the Associate Medical Director. She returned to the University of Washington’s IBD program in January of 2025. She has since taken an active role in fellowship training, and pursued her research interests, including intestinal ultrasound and novel therapies for inflammatory bowel diseases. She is active within the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation and enjoys educating the community further about IBD.
