Mazyar Malakouti

Dr. Mazyar Malakouti is a board-certified gastroenterologist and hepatologist with Texas Digestive Disease Consultants and GI Alliance in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. He also serves as an Assistant Professor at Burnett School of Medicine at TCU. Dr. Malakouti has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease, with a focus on management of complex Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

He completed medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch and subsequently completed his residency and fellowship training at the UT Health San Antonio. He is actively involved in clinical research and medical education through the GI Alliance Department of Research and frequently lectures on emerging IBD therapies and real-world treatment optimization in community gastroenterology practice.
