Shrinivas Bishu

Shrinivas Bishu, MD is the H. Marvin Pollard Legacy Professor of Gastroenterology IV and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Michigan, where he serves as Clinical Director of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He is also an Associate Program Director and Director of IBD Education for the GI Fellowship. His clinical and scholarly work focuses on IBD, with particular interest in disease pathogenesis, environmental and microbial influences, and translational approaches to improving patient outcomes. Dr. Bishu is Co-Chair of CCCongress and serves as an American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) Postgraduate Course Co-Chair for 2026. He has received research funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation (CCF), and the Helmsley Foundation, and is actively involved in training the next generation of gastroenterologists and advancing multidisciplinary IBD care and research.
