Carolyn Clevenger

Carolyn Clevenger is the Founder and Director of Emory Integrated Memory Care. The IMC is a nurse-led primary care practice for people living with dementia with an outpatient clinic and senior living community practice across metro Atlanta. The new model of care has been recognized as a Patient-Centered Medical Home, an Age Friendly Health System participant, a Best Program for Caregiving, a Best Practice Exemplar for patient- and family-centered care, and an Edge Runner. The practices boasts the extraordinarily high patient experience scores and significantly reduces the risk of hospitalizations for people living with dementia.

Dr. Clevenger's research portfolio includes psychoeducational programs to improve mastery among dementia family caregivers and the geriatric healthcare workforce. She earned her BSN from West Virginia University, her MSN from Emory University, and her DNP from the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
