Karen Cornelius is the Vice President and Chief Risk Officer at Vi. With more than 20 years of experience in risk management and insurance, Karen has a proven track record of building effective risk frameworks across large, complex organizations.
Before joining Vi, Karen worked as Sr. AVP of Insurance Procurement at Revantage, supporting Blackstone’s real estate portfolio companies with enterprise insurance solutions. She previously held leadership roles as Director of Risk Management and Insurance at Loyola University and Director of Risk Management at Enlivant, overseeing risk strategy for hundreds of senior living communities nationwide. Earlier in her career, she was as an underwriter at Chubb specializing in directors and officers liability and employment practices liability.
Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois and an MBA from DePaul University.
