David Coluzzi

David Coluzzi, a senior care executive with more than 30 years of industry experience, joined Carlton Senior Living as President/CEO in 2015. Mr. Coluzzi is responsible for operations of the Carlton Senior Living high-end portfolio with over 108 million dollars in annual revenue. He has direct oversight of all CSL operations and bottom-line responsibility. Mr. Coluzzi leads a development team that will expand the CSL portfolio in the next 5-10 years.

His experience is wide ranging and includes new development, start-up communities, managing the challenges of aging physical plants in established communities, and high-end hospitality model communities much like the Carlton Senior Living communities. In each scenario he was able to demonstrate his ability to improve profitability, employee retention and expand the business.

Prior to joining Carlton Senior Living, Mr. Coluzzi served as chief executive officer of the Esquire Group, a senior living and apartment company with more than 1,200 units in seven communities in New Jersey.

Mr. Coluzzi was vice president of operations at Vi Senior Living, formerly known as Classic Residence by Hyatt. He directed the management of a portfolio consisting of 10 luxury continuing care retirement communities while leading the start-up of two new communities and an extensive expansion which resulted in more than 4,000 independent living, assisted living, memory care apartments, and skilled nursing units in California, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, South Carolina, and Florida.

Mr. Coluzzi, as Senior Vice President of Western Division Operations for Atria Senior Living Group, directed the operations of 65 communities in 8 states across 4 regions, focusing on improving this portfolio of 6,736 senior living units. He administered market identification, sales management, and strategic planning to ensure operational efficiencies.

Additionally, Mr. Coluzzi has leadership experience in acute and rehab hospital systems, and skilled nursing communities.

Dave is a married father of four and has a BS degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Arizona, Tucson AZ. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He resides in Concord with his wife Diane.
