Michael Lauria, MD, NRP, FP-C is an Emergency Medicine Resident and Flight Physician at the University of New Mexico Hospital. He started working in emergency services in 2002 as a Firefighter/EMT-I. In 2005, he graduated from Dartmouth College, became a Pararescueman in the US Air Force, and served at the 321st Special Tactics Squadron where he deployed with a USSOCOM Joint Special Operations Task Force and C Company, 1st Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne). After the military he worked as a Flight Paramedic for the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team (DHART). In 2018 he graduated with honors from the Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine, is currently an Emergency Medicine Resident, and will start EMS Fellowship in July 2021. He also writes for the EMCrit podcast and blog.
