Christopher Blake BSN, RN, CFRN, NRP, FESI-II is a Flight Nurse Specialist / Paramedic with more than 20 years of combined experience in EMS, Critical Care and flight operations and one of the newest educators with FlightBridgeEd. Christopher is the founder of The Blakery Content, an education platform focused on improving pediatric and critical care readiness in EMS and critical care transport, and the creator and host of the Reducing the Pucker Factor Podcast. He is actively involved in statewide EMS leadership and currently serves as a board member on the Ohio EMS for Children and Critical Care Committees and serves on the International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) Editorial Board, supporting the development and refinement of trauma education for providers worldwide.

FAST Session: Reducing the Pucker Factor (Through Improving Pediatric Readiness)

Reducing the Pucker Factor is a condensed, rapid-fire, 20-minute session designed to tackle one of the biggest stress points in EMS: pediatric emergencies. In just 20 minutes, attendees will explore why stress changes clinical decision-making, how preparation shapes calm under pressure, and what simple, concrete actions can be implemented at the agency level to improve pediatric readiness and reduce the pucker factor at the provider level.
Short, sharp, and focused—this session is built to lower anxiety, elevate readiness, and help every provider walk away feeling more capable when caring for their smallest, sickest patients.
