2023 recipient of the EMS Professionals of Louisiana Presidential Leadership award and 2008 Recipient of Industrial Fire Worlds “Connie Gross Award” for dedication to emergency responder Education. Currently Health, Safety, and Security, Environment Manager at Smurfit Westrock Container Plant in Mesquite Texas.
Member of the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians since 1993, and serving his fifth appointment to the Membership Committee and serves as the Chair for the committee. Served as Texas Governor, and Industrial EMS Society chair.

OSHA Best Practices for Protecting EMS Responders

OSHA states: Employers must have an Emergency Response Plan that explains what steps are being taken to be sure that all of their EMS responders:

1) Are adequately trained for their intended job duties<br/>
2) Are capable of responding in a safe manner<br/>
3) Are managed by competent leaders<br/>
<br/>
If you respond in an industrial setting, do you know the hazards, and are you capable of staying safe in the industrial setting?
