Lisa Henderson, LPC-MHSP, is a national leader at the intersection of behavioral health, technology, and business. As Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Synchronous Health, she has pioneered the responsible use of artificial intelligence to expand access to care and improve outcomes for individuals and communities. With more than two decades of experience in mental health and substance use treatment, Lisa brings the perspective of both clinician and innovator—one who deeply understands the human relationships at the heart of care, and the transformative potential of data and digital tools when used responsibly.
Lisa has served in leadership roles across public and private sectors, guiding organizations through change management, ethical innovation, and large-scale implementation of digital behavioral health programs. She confronts the cultural and ethical challenges of integrating technology into care, asking hard questions about trust, transparency, and the future of therapeutic work. These organizations include Synchronous Health, Adventist Health, Tufts Medicine, Thriveworks, the American Counseling Association, and the National Board of Certified Counselors. Lisa was adjunct faculty at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College in the Human Development Counseling program and presents frequently at healthcare business, technology, and mental health events.
