Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is hailed as a revolutionary advancement in bedside diagnosis, rivaling the stethoscope's impact two centuries ago. While it has found a place in various medical specialties, its integration into EMS remains limited, with just 4.1% of U.S. EMS systems utilizing POCUS. In this workshop, you will bridge the gap between more traditional assessment tools and the untapped potential of POCUS. We recognize the critical nature of timely and accurate diagnosis, especially in out-of-hospital scenarios, where every moment is precious. POCUS emerges as a game-changer, mitigating inaccuracies in assessment and elevating patient assessment and care with another tool to help clinicians make better decisions. The results? Better outcomes and more tomorrows for patients!

The FlightBridgeED FP-C, CCP-C, CTRN & CFRN review course was prepared after teaching nearly three hundred “live” review courses over the past decade. We have taken current practice guidelines, advanced certification exam objectives, and current evidence-based practice content from credible, published sources and built the most up-to-date course on the market. This course will not only prepare you to pass your advanced certification exam but also challenge even the most experienced providers. We fully understand the importance of test-taking tips and core concepts related to these difficult exams. However, we take the course even further and believe that fully investing in your thought process, critical thinking, and teaching you current practice will build a solid foundation that you can immediately apply to your patient care. This will translate to a broader understanding of all subject matter and ultimately strengthen your ability to answer the test questions you are presented with.

Mass casualty incidents are low-frequency, high-acuity events that challenge responders and systems alike. Though uncommon, the potential exists in every village, town, and city in America. Effective triage is the foundation of a successful response, beginning with every provider on scene. This presentation reviews initial triage algorithms, continuous secondary triage, treatment and transport priorities, and the structure and function of the Incident Command System. To reinforce these concepts, this preconference session includes a hands-on (1/6 scale) tabletop scenario using Barbie dolls as simulated patients. Each doll is carefully moulaged to represent realistic injuries and triage challenges. Participants will apply triage tags, assign priorities, and discuss decision-making in real time—bridging classroom concepts with practical application in a fun, visual, and memorable way.

Pharmacology Under Pressure: Case-Based Critical Care is easy when patients are stable. It becomes an entirely different discipline at altitude, in shock, during airway collapse, or when physiology breaks the rules. Pharmacology Under Pressure is a 4-hour, case-based masterclass designed for flight, transport, and high-acuity clinicians who want to actually understand why they give the drugs they give — and when they should do something different.
This session moves beyond protocols and algorithms to explore:
Built around challenging, realistic cases, this course integrates:
If you’ve ever asked, “Why are we giving this?” or “Is this really the best drug here?” — this course is for you. Expect fewer slides, more thinking, and uncomfortable but necessary conversations about the drugs we use every day.
