Agency Ridealongs

Ridealongs are available with Clark County Fire Department and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue. Ridealongs are free to all EMS World Expo attendees (excluding Preconference Only and Exhibit Hall Only registrants) and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. All ridealong participants are responsible for their transportation to and from their assigned stations. 

Please do not contact Clark County Fire Department or Las Vegas Fire & Rescue directly. Ridealongs will only be available to attendees through the EMS World Expo registration site starting in July and are not offered directly by either agency.

 

Ridealongs are open to 1-day, 2-day, and 3-day conference pass attendees of EMS World Expo 2024. Ridealongs are not available to Exhibit Hall Only registrants. 

 

Ambulance Marketplace

In the market for a new or redesigned ambulance? The Ambulance Marketplace is intended to guide those with ambulance purchasing power. Attendees will be treated to a unique opportunity to hear from EMS leaders with experience in researching, designing, and purchasing vehicles. Moderators will lead a didactic discussion, followed by a Q&A session in the Learning Center located in the Expo Exhibit Hall.

Clinical Challenge

The EMS World Clinical Challenge is a clinical competition where teams of two respond to challenging scenarios that test clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills, teamwork, communication, and situational awareness. Teams elect to participate in either an ALS or BLS track depending on their level of certification. A panel of judges will evaluate their performance and provide valuable feedback. 

Each Clinical Challenge participant will receive a limited-edition challenge coin. The top three teams from each track will advance to the finals. The top 3 teams from each track will receive an official award medal and prize.

  • 1st Place: 12.9” iPad for both team members and complimentary registration to EMS World Expo 2025 
  • 2nd Place: Apple iPad for both team members
  • 3rd Place: Complimentary registration to EMS World Expo 2025 for both team members

Please note, the EMS World Clinical Challenge takes place in Exhibit Hall. You must be a registered attendee (1-day/2-day/3-day/Exhibit Hall Only pass) to participate.

Lunch & Learn: Critical Public Safety Communications Planning for Large Events

A key part of the planning process for any size event, especially large-scale, national events is working collaboratively with various partners to ensure reliable and seamless communications. And while the possibility of myriad emergency situations can occur at a planned (or unplanned), most calls that require emergency response (or intervention) at large scale special events are medical in nature. Hear from experienced senior executives who have to build and execute on complicated incident action plans that are mult-jurisdictional, extremely large scale, and that receive national (and global) attention. Delivered in a panel discussion format, these executives will share their experience and tips for success.The stakes are high, and these professionals repeat success and high performance over and over again. During this panel session, you will learn how the partnership between the Public Safety agencies, FirstNet, Built with AT&T, and the First Responder Network Authority ensured first responders were prepared for the first-ever Las Vegas Formula 1 Grand Prix and Super Bowl 58.

Learning Objectives:
- Provide a learning opportunity to hear from experienced public safety executives on how to plan and execute for high-profile and large-scale events.
- Gain a better understanding of the National Public Safety Broadband Network and how FirstNet is being used at large-scale events

To be eligible: 

You must be registered to attend EMS World Expo 2024

You must not have previously spoken at a national medical conference 

 

Past participants may participate, provided they have not spoken at a national conference.

This event is aimed at providing academic professionals and those looking to become EMS educators the opportunity to grow their speaking skills.

Participants will give a 15-minute presentation to a live panel of judges who will evaluate the topic's applicability to out-of-hospital care, the media presentation, and the participant's speaking style. Immediately following a live presentation, the participant will receive constructive feedback focused on improving presentation skills. Participants will also receive written feedback within the week.

The preliminary rounds will take place on Wednesday, September 11, and Thursday, September 12. The top 4 participants will compete in the finals, which will take place on Friday, September 13, in the Exhibit Hall Learning Center. Please note: Due to limited availability, attendees may not sign up for more than 1 time slot.
