When AI Joins the Team: Rethinking Roles, Skills, and the Behavioral Health Workforce

Session Description: As AI takes on more administrative, operational, and clinical-support work, behavioral health organizations are beginning to face a different question: how should the workforce change alongside the technology? This roundtable will explore which roles and skills may become more valuable, where responsibilities may shift, and what new expectations AI creates for frontline staff, clinicians, managers, and executive leaders. Participants will discuss staff adoption and anxiety, AI literacy, training and supervision, recruitment, and how organizations can capture efficiencies without losing the human connection at the center of behavioral health care. The conversation will also consider whether organizations have the right talent and leadership capabilities in place for the next phase of AI.
