    • Code of Conduct

      HMP Global is committed to providing a professional, welcoming, safe, and respectful space during our in-person and online events, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, disability, and/or other characteristics. Our Attendees bear equal responsibility for creating a safe and welcoming environment for participants.
       
      Our Code of Conduct outlines what behavior is expected of Attendees, and what behaviors will not be tolerated. All Attendees at any HMP Global in-person, online, or hybrid event or function are expected to abide by this Code.

    • Health & Safety

      The health and safety of all visitors to our conferences remains our top priority. We remain current with local and venue health and safety guidelines and will adjust our approach as needed on an event-specific basis to ensure a safe environment for all conference participants.

    • Children

      Children under the age of 18 are not permitted at the SMASH FOCUS conference.

    • Special Meals

      It is our pleasure to arrange special meals for attendees. We reserve the right to charge for all special requests. Requests must be made at least seven days before the event to be accommodated. For more information, please contact us here. 

    • Special Needs

      SMASH FOCUS is committed to making its activities accessible to all individuals. If you have specials needs as defined by the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and need an accommodation, please contact us on our website.

    • Sessions

      Sessions are subject to change. 

      Seating is limited for all session rooms and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

      No individual or entity may electronically record or broadcast any portion of SMASH FOCUS without prior written consent of HMP Global. Unauthorized recording (audio, video, still photography, etc.) of presentations during sessions without the express written consent of HMP Global is strictly prohibited. Press representatives must receive a Press Pass and photo/recording permission from HMP Global. HMP Global reserves the rights to any approved audio and video production of presentations at all HMP Global events.

    • Badge Policy

      Attendees are required to wear their conference badge at all times while in session rooms and the exhibit hall. Lost or damaged badges may be reprinted at the registration desk for a $50 fee. Valid photo ID is required to process any reprint request.

Policies

    • Liability, Copyright, Acceptance, and Disclaimer

      SMASH FOCUS plans to take photographs, video, and/or audio recordings (collectively, “Media”) at SMASH FOCUS events and reproduce them for use in promotional, educational, informational, advertising, and/or commercial materials and communications. By participating in SMASH FOCUS events, I grant SMASH FOCUS the right to use my name, image, likeness, and voice (collectively, “Likeness”) found in any Media in any materials or communications. Such materials or communications include, but are not limited to, publications, websites, articles, brochures, books, magazines, newsletters, exhibits, videos, films, social media, advertisements, and training programs (collectively, “Materials”).

      I understand and agree that HMP Global and SMASH FOCUS are and shall be the exclusive owner of all right title and interest, including any copyright, in the Media and Materials and that any and all postings are the property of the same. Postings may be displayed, distributed, or used by SMASH FOCUS for any purpose. Furthermore, I acknowledge SMASH FOCUS’s right to crop, splice, treat, and edit any Media containing my Likeness and waive my right to be notified, inspect, improve, or approve the finished product, now and in the future, whether that use is known or unknown to me.

      I hereby grant an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to HMP Global, SMASH FOCUS, and their industry partners, sponsors, and supporters to utilize, adapt, modify, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, and/or display any Media containing me or my Likeness in any Material. I hereby waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of said Media.

      I hereby agree to release, defend, and hold harmless HMP Global, SMASH FOCUS, and their agents, employees, affiliates, and contractors, including but not limited to any firm publishing and/or distributing the Media and/or Materials containing my Likeness in whole or in part, from and against any claims, damages, or liability arising from or related to the use of said Media and/or Materials. This includes but is not limited to any misuse, distortion, blurring, alteration, optical illusion, or the taking, processing, production, publication, distribution, or use of said Media and/or Materials.

      Furthermore, I hereby release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless HMP Global, SMASH FOCUS, and their industry partners, sponsors, and supporters from any and all claims that I or any third party may have now or in the future for invasion of privacy, right of publicity, copyright infringement, defamation, or any other cause of action arising out of the use, utilization, adaptation, modification, reproduction, distribution, public performance, or display of my Likeness used in the Media and/or Materials.

Registration

    • Cancellation Policy

      Cancellations and Transfers
      We understand that plans change. Our goal is to make changing or cancelling your registration simple and fair.

      Cancel at least 60 days before the event for a refund
      If we receive your cancellation request at least 60 days before the first day of the event, we will refund your registration less 50% of your registration fee.

      Send a colleague instead
      You can transfer your registration to a colleague at no charge, before or after the refund deadline, up until the day before the event begins. Just send us their name and email address.

      Within 60 days of the event
      Registrations are non-refundable within 60 days of the event, including if you are unable to attend. You are still welcome to transfer your registration to a colleague.


      Why we have a refund deadline: as an event approaches, we commit to meals, meeting space, materials and other arrangements based on the number of people registered. Many of these commitments cannot be cancelled once they are made, and the refund deadline allows us to plan responsibly and keep registration rates as low as possible.


      Exceptional circumstances
      We know some situations are beyond anyone's control. With supporting documentation, we offer the following at any time before the event:
                     • Bereavement, military deployment, or first responders called to duty: a full refund with no processing fee, in the event of a death of the registrant or an immediate family member, military deployment, or being called to duty as a first responder.
                     • Serious illness, family emergency, or travel disruption within 60 days of the event: a credit for the full amount paid, toward a future HMP Global event within 12 months.
                     • Visa denial within 60 days of the event: a refund of 50% of your registration fee a credit for the full amount paid, toward a future HMP Global event within 12 months with a copy of the official denial notice.
      Our Customer Experience team reviews these requests every week and will follow up with you directly.

      International attendees
      Visa invitation letters are issued once registration is paid in full. One-day and partial passes are not eligible for visa letters.

      If the program changes
      If an event is suspended or shortened due to circumstances beyond our control, such as a public health event, severe weather, or power or internet outages, we may offer a credit toward a future HMP Global event.

    • Payment Options

      All registrations must be paid in full by credit or debit card—check payments and invoicing are no longer available. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.
