VLU Interventions

Treatment of venous leg ulcers require appropriate wound treatment as well as treating the venous disease. Standard treatment of the venous disease with an active VLU is multilayer compression. Direct venous intervention is selectively indicated as an adjunct for slowly healing VLUs and also indicated to decrease VLU recurrence. Techniques for direct venous intervention will be discussed.
