90 min
Thursday, May 16, 2024
7:30 AM - 9:00 AM
Sponsored by Coloplast.
This session will shed new light on the crucial importance of managing wounds in the acute care setting. When improperly managed, wounds can have substantial negative impacts on hospital systems. This session will outline these challenges and what can be done to mitigate them. An innovative silicone foam dressing indicated for pressure injury prevention and wound treatment will be introduced. The product is designed to decrease the risk of exudate pooling to lower the risk of infection and maceration. Learn how this new silicone foam is designed to reduce the need for filler dressings and how it can elevate wound care delivered by all nursing staff—regardless of their wound care expertise.
Hear more from Emily Greenstein about how this new dressing has performed on patients through a series of case studies. Additionally, understand the expected benefits the product can offer to address wound management challenges in the acute care setting.
This non-CME presentation is held in conjunction with the SAWC Spring 2024 Meeting. The opinions and recommendations expressed do not necessarily reflect the view of HMP Education or SAWC. This program is not intended or eligible for continuing education (CME/CE) credits and does not meet guidelines governing CME/CE.
