Atypical Wounds

Clinicians often encounter wounds that despite providing appropriate local and supportive care do not respond or may even get worse. This session will focus on those lower extremity wounds that may have begun as a minor trauma, may be masquerading as a venous or other type of wound, but are not responding to seemingly appropriate care. Assessment tips, biopsy/histology suggestions and potential management options will be discussed.
